Synodal Listening Session: “What Are Our Gifts?”

Please join us for a community listening session as we enter the next stage of Partners In The Gospel. Synodal listening sessions are an integral part of the discernment process as we learn more about our unique parish communities and work toward implementing the One Parish Plan.

The “What Are Our Gifts?” listening sessions will be held at each parish. We ask that—if possible—you attend the session at your home parish and that you RSVP so that we can staff the sessions accordingly. In preparation for the listening session, please prayerfully consider the following:

• How have your experiences in our parish brought you closer to God?
• What has been the spiritual impact of your participation in our parish?
• If you had to describe the main gifts and charisms of our parish to a newcomer in one sentence, what would you say?
• What is your favorite part about being a parishioner?
• What stands out to you as something to be proud of?

The Listening Session at Sacred Heart will take place on Sunday, October 5, from 11:15AM to 12:45PM, in the Parish Basement. Please RSVP through this link.

The Listening Session at St. Anne will take place on Wednesday, October 8, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, in the Narthex. Please RSVP through this link.

The Listening Session at Our Lady of Fatima will take place on Thursday, October 16, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, in the Parish Center. Please RSVP through this link.

DEMOGRAPHICS and COMMUNICATIONS SURVEY

In addition to the Listening Sessions, we are asking for your feedback through this online survey. The purpose is to collect information about our parish community to help us as we think about what ministries we offer, what the needs in our community are, and where there are opportunities to expand or start new ministries.

FINANCE SPOTLIGHT

Dear Sacred Heart of Jesus, Our Lady of Fatima, and St. Anne Parishioners, As summer comes to a close and the activities of the autumn season start, I have been reflecting on something that Sts. Francis and Clare of Assisi taught their followers. While they might not have had much, they were allowed two things in abundance – sunshine and flowers. This idea makes my millennial minimalist heart happy – even if I do live in Seattle and our sunshine is fleeting at times. Next month the annual report will be published to the parish family and will include much more detail on the finances. As such, I want to set the stage a little – to share the story in between the numbers of each parish’s financial situation. Part of that includes highlighting some key elements: –As a reminder, the parishes continue to have separate finances and bank accounts and to receive donations individually. There are shared expenses, however, and these are tracked and reimbursed accordingly. –While we maintain separate finances, we are preparing to be combined in the future and part of that is moving under a common Chart of Accounts. This was a tremendous lift on part of the finance team to get this ready for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. We still have some bumps to smooth out but will make things much easier moving forward. You’ll spot this difference in the annual report when looking at the 24/25 fiscal year vs our current budget. –The 25/26 budget was developed alongside the staff and key volunteers to work to anticipate (and limit) costs as much as possible while also looking to how we can grow the opportunities for the parish family community. Lastly, I want to thank everyone who has helped volunteer for the parish family. Whether it is a one-time lift or a weekly commitment, your contribution makes a difference. Young Adult Retreat

We’re so excited to announce the St. Anne’s Young Adult Fall Retreat! This will be a beautiful opportunity to unplug, recharge, build community, and grow in our faith together. Open to all young adults across the parish family.
