Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Bulletin for Sacred Heart of Jesus, Our Lady of Fatima, & St. Anne

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Listening Session: What Opportunities and Challenges Exist for Us?

Date: Saturday, February 28

Time: 9:30am for coffee, donuts, and community;

10 to 11:30am for the session.

Location: Our Lady of Fatima Parish Center

From the Parish Family Advisory Committee (PFAC):  The goal of this session is to bring people of all three parishes together, therefore there is ONLY ONE listening session on this topic. We hope to have someone from each parish at every table. Adults only, please. An RSVP through this link is appreciated.

In preparation for the meeting, please review the demographics portion of the Annual Report and reflect on these questions:

  1. What challenges do you see that exist in the wider community? An example could be having a large homeless or undocumented immigrant population with specific needs.
  2. What challenges do you see that exist in the parish family? An example could be having a large number of families with teenagers but not being able to hire a youth minister.
  3. Having heard information from the community demographics report, what opportunities do you see (in our parish family and in the wider community) to more effectively serve and accompany others? Is there anybody that we can do a better job of reaching?

The Sacrament of Confirmation for our parish family will take place at the 10 AM Mass on Sunday, February 1st at Sacred Heart of Jesus. Congratulations to all the Confirmandi of the Parish Family. To anyone who regularly attends the 10 AM Mass at Sacred Heart, please be aware that we are expecting a larger attendance for this special Mass.

Holy Spirit, strengthen our Northwest Seattle Catholic parish family Confirmandi with your gifts of Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety, and Fear of the Lord, as a disciple of Christ. Fill them with the joy of your presence. Increase in them the fruit of your Spirit. Help them to experience and trust your dwelling within, so that they may count on your guidance today and every day. Show us the way to help one another become better disciples of Jesus Christ, sharing your love with our world and with each person we encounter. Amen.
