Thank You for Being a Steward

As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace. Whoever preaches, let it be with the words of God; whoever serves, let it be with the strength that God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:10-11

Hello, and welcome. Here you will find all the information you need regarding our annual Stewardship of Treasure campaign. We view this initiative as a time to say thank you to all of you, our parishioners, for being stewards of our community.

The Christian steward is a person whose prayer leads to a constant awareness that God is the creator of all blessings in life, spiritual and material. Jesus presented the ultimate gift to God–the gift of His life–and we, too, are called to follow Jesus’s footsteps by:

  • Receiving God’s gifts gratefully – a grateful steward never stops saying “thank you.”
  • Developing our gifts responsibly – not only using them prudently but making sure that they do not wither away.
  • Sharing our gifts with others in love to build a just society – a good steward knows it is better to give than to receive.
  • Returning our gifts and all we have been able to do with them to the Lord.

Please prayerfully consider making a financial commitment to support our parish. Even a modest recurring gift helps sustain our ministries, care for our facilities, and support those who come to us for help. When used according to God’s will, our financial means can be a sort of prayer, one that demonstrates our love and gratitude to God and our trust in His plan for our lives. Our spending habits are also a reflection of who and what we truly love, and God asks us to love Him above all else.

Setting a donation amount

Although everyone’s contribution will be different, the Church uses the tithe (10%) as a benchmark by which all of us can gauge our gifts. It is a recognition that we have been abundantly blessed by God with his merciful love, and that He calls us to show that love with others as we journey forward in hope.

An important way to show our love is through our generosity.

Consider:
• 5% to the weekly offertory*
• 1% to the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal
• 4% to Faith Based Charities

* If you are unable to give 5%, please prayerfully consider what you are able to give and commit to giving it regularly.

Yearly Income Weekly Income Giving at 1% … 2% … 3% … 4% … 5% … 10%
$30,000 $575 $6 $12 $17 $23 $29 $58
