Parish Life

Dear Parishioners, dear Friends,

What gives rhythm to your life?

Is it the steady flow of daily routines, the special moments that break through the ordinary, or the changing seasons that mark time’s passage? Most likely, it’s a beautiful harmony of all these elements.

In our parish family, the liturgical year also shapes the rhythm of our lives. It guides us through seasons of reflection, celebration, and renewal—helping us navigate both the joys and challenges of life with faith and hope. Following the festive Easter season—including the solemnity of Ascension Day and the fire of Pentecost—we are reminded of the strength, unity, and beauty of our faith community. These sacred moments invite us to pause, reflect, and rejoice in God’s presence among us. As we now enter the quieter weeks of summer, may we carry this spirit of celebration and togetherness with us. Let us continue to walk in faith, support one another, and remain open to the gentle rhythm of God’s presence in our daily lives.

Prayer of St. Elizabeth of the Trinity

O my God, Trinity whom I adore,

help me to forget myself entirely

so to establish myself in You,

unmovable and peaceful

as if my soul were already in eternity.

May nothing be able to trouble my peace

or make me leave You, O my unchanging God,

but may each minute bring me more deeply into Your mystery.

Grant my soul peace.

Make it Your heaven,

Your beloved dwelling,

and the place of Your rest.

May I never abandon You there,

but may I be there, whole and entire,

completely vigilant in my faith,

entirely adoring,

and wholly given over to Your creative action.

Amen.

Mass Time Change – Sacred Heart of Jesus

Starting Sunday, July 6th, the Sunday evening Mass at 5:30 PM will move to 5:00 PM.

This change is being made to better manoeuver high traffic times caused by events at the Climate Pledge Arena.

Please mark your calendars and spread the word! Thank you for your understanding and continued participation in our parish family life.

In observance of Juneteenth, the Parish Family Offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19th.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul - Magnolia

KEEPING THE LIGHTS ON: A Magnolia neighbor in her seventies—who works full-time and supports her grandchildren—recently had to take unpaid medical leave. Now back at work, she’s diligently trying to catch up on overdue bills. Thanks to your generous donations, St. Vincent de Paul was able to help her comply with her utility payment plan, preventing an electricity shut-off. Our volunteers who visited her were deeply inspired by her resilience and determination.

NEW WAY TO SUPPORT OUR LADY OF FATIMA’S GROUP: Do you have items gathering dust in your garage or closet? They could be exactly what a neighbor in need is looking for. Our St. Vincent de Paul group occasionally receives requests for essential items such as children’s clothing, bedding, and kitchenware from our neighbors in Magnolia and Interbay who are recovering from financial hardship, exiting homelessness, or fleeing domestic violence.

To stay informed about these needs, please join our email list by contacting SVdP@OLFatima.org —we send fewer than one message per month. Volunteers from Our Lady of Fatima will be happy to arrange a pickup from your home and deliver your donations directly to those who request them. Please note: Due to limited storage space, we can only accept items that fulfill existing needs.

Thank you for your support!

Great News from Our Lady of Fatima!

Our Lady of Fatima has met its financial goal, with 28% participation toward our 30% goal. It would be wonderful to achieve both goals! At this point, any additional contributions will return to the parish to assist with boiler repairs. Learn more about the ACA at Our lady of Fatima.

Sacred Heart of Jesus has reached its financial goal last week but currently has only 13% participation, while our goal for the year is 20%. It’s not too late to participate—rebate funds will support the installation of altar railings. Learn more about the ACA at Sacred Heart of Jesus.

St. Anne is still working toward its financial goal, having reached 50% of the required amount and 22% of our 38% participation goal. If you haven’t yet participated, please prayerfully consider supporting this important cause. Learn more about the ACA at St. Anne.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone in our parish family who has contributed so far. Your generosity supports ministries across Western Washington and helps fund vital rebate projects within our parishes.
