Finance Spotlight
Dear Sacred Heart of Jesus, Our Lady of Fatima, and St. Anne Parishioners,
This week I saw a card that said, “spring sow, summer tend, fall harvest, winter rest.” I appreciated the reminder to take some time to organize and collect my projects in order to prepare for the rest that these coming months will hopefully bring to us all.
As 2025 comes to a close, I want to invite you to consider ways that you might make an end-of-year gift to support the parish community. This could be done in several ways:
- –Join in celebrating our Choirs at the Parish Family Advent Night of Music
- –Look to see if your employer will match your donations to the parish or ministries through Benevity or other platforms
- –Find some peaceful rest in front of the Eucharist in the House of Prayer
- –Support the upcoming #iGiveCatholic projects as part of Giving Tuesday – a great counter consumerism opportunity
- –Participate in the Giving Tree ministries to help those in need
- –Lower your required mandatory distribution (see the linked flyer for more details on donating to the parishes as a qualified charitable distribution)
- –Volunteer at the Queen Anne Food Bank
Financial support made by December 31 may also be tax-deductible for 2024. Whether it is a one-time donation or an ongoing contribution, your gifts make a meaningful impact–thank you in advance!
A quick update, in the communication survey we received feedback that a quarterly update on the finances would be preferred to a monthly one. I am taking this as a positive sign that the transparency over the past months (and years) has helped bring clarity to you. I will be re-evaluating what my spotlights look like in the new year–stay tuned!
God bless,
Brigid

St. Francis Statue
We are very sad to report that the statue of St. Francis in the garden at St. Anne was vandalized this past week. The statue was damaged beyond repair. The appropriate reports have been filed, and staff is considering how best it might be replaced.
