Parish Life of Sacred Heart of Jesus & St. Anne

Dear Readers, Parishioners from Sacred Heart of Jesus & St. Anne,

This week, we have two special days to remember and celebrate.

On November 1st, All Saints’ Day, we honor all the saints who have lived lives of faith and goodness. These amazing people inspire us to be better and to live our lives with purpose and love. Please check the bulletin for Mass times on this day.

On November 2nd, All Souls’ Day, we take a moment to remember all our loved ones who have passed away. It’s a time to pray for them and to reflect on the hope and promise of eternal life. All three of our Parish Family churches will display the Book of the Dead throughout the month of November. Parishioners are invited to write the names of their deceased loved ones in the book. The primary purpose of this book is to remember and pray for those who have passed away. By writing their names, our community acknowledges their lives and continues to offer prayers for their souls. Please check the bulletin for Mass times on this day.

Let us honor these special days, celebrating the saints and praying for all souls. May these observances deepen our faith and bring us closer as a community.

SACRED HEART OF JESUS

Sacred Heart of Jesus - All Souls Day

During November we take time to reflect on the hope and promise of eternal life. At Sacred Heart of Jesus, we will display our Book of the Dead in the lobby. Parishioners are invited to write the names of their deceased loved ones in the book. By writing their names, our community acknowledges their lives and continues to offer prayers for their souls.

ST. ANNE

St. Anne - All Souls Day

We are pleased to announce that Fr. Freitag will celebrate All Souls Day Mass on Saturday, November 2nd at 9AM. Starting on All Souls Day, our Altar of Remembrance will once again be set up under the crucifix near the Baptismal Font. We warmly invite everyone to bring pictures of their loved ones who have passed away to place on the altar.

To ensure safety, we will have electric votive candles available to accompany your pictures. These cherished photos will remain on the altar throughout November, creating a sacred space within our community where we can honor and remember those who have left us.

Additionally, our parish Book of the Dead will be placed by the altar for you to enter the names of your departed loved ones.

Please remember to pick up your pictures by the first week of December.

Let’s come together to celebrate the lives of those we miss and keep their memories alive in our hearts.

Thank you to all the volunteers who keep this cherished tradition alive!

With gratitude, Your Parish Family Team

St. Anne - Finance Spotlight

Dear Parishioners,

We published the Parish Financial Report – I would encourage you to pick up a copy by the church entrances to review. This report provides insight into the financial health of our community.

With Partners in the Gospel there are costs that will be shared across the Parish Family and we are working to track those expenses and divide them fairly.

I am also pleased to announce that Lisa Battaglia will be starting as St. Anne’s bookkeeper. She has been working for Sacred Heart and will now be supporting the three parishes. Her experience and skills as a CPA will be a huge asset to the team.

Thank you for your continued support,

Brigid
