Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus for Love and Mercy
Lord Jesus,
You gave your life for us.
Your Sacred Heart is ablaze with love.
Your hand extends towards me, and towards all,
offering love, mercy, and healing.
Sacred Heart of Jesus may your love transform me.
Burn away my hesitation that I may become your
love and radiate your mercy.
Amen.

Annual Report 2024-2025
The Annual Report for the Parish Family is now available. There are paper copies in all the churches, and a pdf is linked here. The report contains a wealth of information about all that has been accomplished this past year and about current finances. Results from the Demographics and Communication survey are also included in the Annual Report. If you have questions on the financial information, there is also more insight in the September Finance Spotlight from Brigid McMahan. Thank you for taking the time to read this important report. A special THANK YOU to Moya Laigo for her volunteer support in design and layout!
PARTNERS IN THE GOSPEL
Thank you to all who participated in the Sacred Heart and St. Anne listening sessions. The third and final session around “What Are Our Gifts?” will be at Our Lady of Fatima on Thursday, October 16, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, in the Parish Center. Please RSVP through this link. This is a very important part of the process in our work toward implementing the One Parish Plan. The Parish Family Advisory Council appreciates and wants to hear from each and every one of our parishioners, and we urge you to come participate. Our Parish Family will grow together strongly when built on prayerful listening. In preparation for the listening session, please prayerfully consider the following:
- How have your experiences in our parish brought you closer to God?
- What has been the spiritual impact of your participation in our parish?
- If you had to describe the main gifts and charisms of our parish to a newcomer in one sentence, what would you say?
- What is your favorite part about being a parishioner?
- What stands out to you as something to be proud of?

Back-to-School Strain Eased by Your Generosity
A single mother—rebuilding her life after domestic violence—works a part-time job while caring for a full and busy household. This year, back-to-school expenses for her children pushed her already-tight budget past its limit.
Thanks to your generous support, St. Vincent de Paul was able to assist our Magnolia neighbor with a grocery voucher and Goodwill gift card—bringing much-needed relief in a stressful time. This practical help also opened the door for volunteers to visit the family, offering encouragement and reminding this resilient mother that she is not alone.
Thank you for helping us be Christ’s hands and heart to those in need.
Mark Your Calendars!
The “Stuff the Truck” Donation Event will be happening at Our Lady of Fatima.

Call to Serve through Liturgical Ministry
Across the parish family, we are asking for more parishioners to step into the vital work of liturgical ministry. There is a diversity of opportunities through which to serve. Each ministry is essential to the celebration of Mass and offers a meaningful way to deepen your faith and support our parish community. Please prayerfully consider how you might be called to serve. All positions are open! Extend a personal invitation and ask a friend how they plan to serve!
Sacred Heart of Jesus also asks for altar servers and for basic help with cleaning and preparing the church for Mass. Adults can serve as altar servers too! Call the parish office or email parishoffice@sacredheartseattle.org. Trainings are to be determined or will happen on an individual basis.
