Sean Haffey is the interim Principal for St. Anne School. Sean came to St. Anne in 2011 after two years of teaching 5th grade at St. Albert the Great in Compton, CA as part of the Alliance for Catholic Education, a Master’s in Education program run by the University of Notre Dame.
Upon arriving at St. Anne, Sean taught 4th grade for 5 years before transitioning to the 7th grade homeroom position for 6 years. While in middle school, Sean taught every subject, but his favorites were 7th Religion, 7th Literature, and 8th Social Studies. During this time, Sean also coordinated the school’s Stewardship Learning which organized school service activities, planned Masses, and facilitated all-school events for Advent, Catholic Schools’ Week, and Lent. In 2017, Sean graduated from the Mary Ann Remick Leadership Program, also run by the University of Notre Dame, with a Master’s in Educational Leadership. In 2021, Sean transitioned to the Vice Principal position at St. Anne.
Sean and his family live in Bellevue; he has two sons, both of whom attend St. Anne. The family enjoys swimming, biking, running camping at Lopez Island, spending time with family in Spokane, and taking road trips to Montana.
Since his first interview for a 4th grade teaching position, Sean has felt at home at St. Anne. He is thrilled and humbled at the opportunity to serve as principal.
