Finance & Facility Spotlight August

Finance & Facility Spotlight

Dear Parishioners,
I hope you all had a lovely feast of the Assumption!
Thank you all for your continued support,
Brigid

FINANCES
As of this week we successfully raised $8,951 over our Annual Catholic Appeal goal. This means that with the matching gift, we have $17,902 going towards one of the three rebate projects which is very exciting! If you haven’t had a chance yet, I’d encourage you to check out the new entrances to the St. Francis Garden – all these improvements are from your generosity towards the 2023 ACA goal.
The new liturgical banners, the 2022 ACA rebate project, have unfortunately been delayed due to the recent and unexpected passing of Jean Hushebeck who was helping lead that initiative. Please continue to keep her and her family in your prayers and we appreciate your patience in the delay.

FACILITIES

The church doors are a work in progress. The electronic system has failed, and it is looking like we need a new one as the current one was installed by a company that is long out of business and we cannot get new parts. A company came out to inspect them this past week and we are waiting on a quote from them before moving forward. We did receive a diagnostic of the handicap doors but are holding off on doing those until we know how that might be impacted by the new door system.
We have wrapped up the Giving Tuesday project as of last week! The security camera is installed by the chapel door. This will be helpful in keeping our campus safer. Unfortunately, we did not receive the security grant from the State of Washington, so we would need to pay for additional cameras ourselves when the time comes.
