Children (Grades 2-8) Join our Christmas Eve Choir!

A Message from Mo:

Hello St. Anne Families! The Christmas holidays are going to be here sooner than you think. Are you going to be at the 4:00PM Christmas Eve Mass? Why not have your child participate in the celebration? I’m looking for some super singers and leaders, especially older students who are interested in singing solo if needed. Just email me that your child/children will participate. (Please email info@stanneseattle.org to get connected with the lead.)

I’m very excited to work with the students and raise our voices together. I will be directing the choir and Mr. Charlie Hiestand, St. Anne Church music director, will be working with us and accompanying the choir on piano.

The only requirement is that your child be at all rehearsals unless they are sick. All you need to do is respond in an email to me that your child will be attending our first rehearsal on November 8th.

Who: Open to students in 2ND* -8TH grades
*If your child is in 2nd or 3rd grade please make sure that you have the time to work with them on memorizing the songs. We will be learning a full Mass of music and they will need to be able to read, follow and learn the songs.
Where: Rehearsals will take place in the Church (I will meet the students at the bottom of the main doors for each rehearsal and I will walk them over to the church. I will be holding a Choir sign. You can pick them up right at church when they are done.)
*Pack an extra snack and water for those that may need it.
When: All Wednesday rehearsals are from 2:15PM-3:00PM

Wednesdays in November- 8, 15, 29
Wednesdays in December- 6, 13, 20

Sunday December 24th – Christmas Eve Mass, 3:00PM rehearsal. Mass at 4:00PM

Health Safety
Please do not send your child if they have any respiratory sickness. Singing is the number one way to spread respiratory droplets. We will monitor any RSV, Flu or Covid transmission in the community and will let you know specific protocols that may need to be implemented. Please feel free to send your child with a mask if you want them masked for every rehearsal.
