We hope our focus on Stewardship this past month has provided you with inspiration from our witness speakers, joy and peace from our community prayers, and a renewed enthusiasm to respond to Jesus’s call to be stewards of his church.

We’ve been reminded that giving is both a personal act and a communal one. Together, as a parish family, we are building something lasting: a vibrant, faith-filled community rooted in Christ. Consider these ways that might foster your personal growth in faith.

—Spend an hour in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on a First Friday or at the House of Prayer.

—Set aside 15 minutes a day for prayer.

—Go to confession at least once a month.

—Schedule a spiritual retreat.

—Pray the rosary once a week.

—Share a meal with family removed from distractions of TVs or phones.

—Visit someone who lives alone or is homebound.

—Spend time outside in God’s creation.

—Join a ministry in the parish.

—Practice hospitality by greeting others at Mass.

Your practice of stewardship supports not only the daily operations of our parish, but also the spiritual growth and outreach that touch lives in profound ways. If you’ve already made your commitment—thank you! If not, we invite you to join us. Let’s continue to grow together in faith and mission.

It’s easy to make your stewardship of treasure gift to our parish. Follow the links here to access the online giving page for each parish:

A Special Blessing for Veterans

All veterans are invited to wear military attire (uniform, hat, pin, shirt, etc.) to weekend Masses on November 8 & 9. A special blessing will be said for them at the end of Mass.

At Our Lady of Fatima, after the 9AM Mass, there will be a reception for veterans, their families, and parishioners. We will have cake and punch. Also, because this is the 50th Year Anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War, Bob Dela-Cruz is organizing and presenting the Congress-approved Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin to veterans who served anytime from 1955 to 1975. It is not required that they actually fought in Vietnam. At the reception, there will have cards which the Vietnam era veteran can fill out which we will use for the presentation: Name, Branch of Service, and if the person fought in Vietnam, how many tours. Also, family members of Vietnam Era veterans can receive the lapel pin on the behalf of the veteran if they are not available or if they are deceased. This is OPEN to ALL parishioners across the parish family.
If you have any questions, please contact Bob Dela-Cruz at rhbdc915@yahoo.com or 206-353-4122.

The time has come for our largest event of the year: Friendsgiving! Please sign up at this link to bring a side dish and/or beverages to share for approximately 20 – 30 guests.
IMPORTANT: In an effort to have a wide variety of side dishes, we are asking that only 3 – 4 of the same kind of dish are brought. If the dish you intend to bring is maxed out, please kindly consider bringing another dish. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! Please also indicate whether or not you can commit to volunteering to set-up/clean-up. This is our largest event of the year, with an attendance of typically around 30 guests and so we need all hands on deck.

Fatima Quilters Make 17 Quilts for Donation This Year

Every month, the quilters select a new pattern, make the quilt blocks, and then assemble the pattern. Twice a year, the finished top layers are brought together for the tying and assembling with batting. A multi-step process, done by many hands! These quilts will be donated to Mary’s Place for the benefit of families who were experiencing homelessness and are now moving to permanent housing. Anyone across the Parish Family is welcome to join in making quilts. Please call the Fatima parish office to be put in touch with the coordinator Pat Slusser.

Advent Night of Music

Mark your calendars for Thursday, December 4! We hope the entire Parish Family will join us for a special concert featuring all three of our parish choirs and a youth string orchestra (about 25 players) from the Northwest Collaborative Center. The evening will include beloved hymns such as “The King Shall Come” and “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel,” along with sacred works by Mozart, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and others—beautifully arranged for choir and strings.

The concert will take place at Our Lady of Fatima and begin at 7 pm. Reception to follow the performance. RSVP and free will contribution links to come.

Faith & Fellowship Book Club--NEXT PICK!

The Faith & Fellowship Book Club will be reading Interior Freedom by Jacques Philippe for their next meeting.

When: Saturday, January 10, from 10 to 11:30 AM

Where: St. Anne Assembly Room

Interior Freedom by Jacques Philippe is a short but profound spiritual book about finding true freedom within ourselves, regardless of external circumstances. Philippe teaches that real freedom does not depend on what happens to us, but on how we respond—on our ability to choose love, trust, and peace in every situation. More information, reflection questions, and contact information is linked here. Open to ALL members of the Parish Family!

St. Anne Fall Campus Clean-up–THANK YOU!

A heartfelt thank you to all who braved the weather to help last Saturday. We made great progress, but due to the sheer volume of leaves, we are going to hold a second clean-up.

When: Saturday, December 6

Time: 9:00 am to noon

Please sign-up here. Let us know if you can come for all or part of the time. Your help is greatly appreciated!
