Parish Life

When the leaves of the trees begin to change color, the summer heat gives way to cooler temperatures, and our lives move more indoors, some of our favorite saints come into focus in the annual cycle. For example, Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus, whose feast day we celebrate on October 1st.

“When I die, I will send down a shower of roses from the heavens,

I will spend my heaven by doing good on earth.”

St.Thérèse of Lisieux

Dear God,

With St. Thérèse of Lisieux’s promise to shower us with roses from heaven, we ask for Your grace and blessings. Let her spirit inspire us to do good in the world. Amen.
