PARTNERS IN THE GOSPEL

Synodal Listening Session: “What Are Our Gifts?”

Please join us for a community listening session as we enter the next stage of Partners In The Gospel. Synodal listening sessions are an integral part of the discernment process as we learn more about our unique parish communities and work toward implementing the One Parish Plan.

The “What Are Our Gifts?” listening sessions will be held at each parish. We ask that—if possible—you attend the session at your home parish. Dates at Our Lady of Fatima and St. Anne will be announced as soon as they are finalized.

The Listening Session at SACRED HEART will take place on October 5, from 11:15AM to 12:45PM, in the Parish Basement

Please RSVP through this link so that we can staff the session appropriately.

In preparation for the listening session, please prayerfully consider the following:

  • How have your experiences in our parish brought you closer to God?
  • What has been the spiritual impact of your participation in our parish?
  • If you had to describe the main gifts and charisms of our parish to a newcomer in one sentence, what would you say?
  • What is your favorite part about being a parishioner?
  • What stands out to you as something to be proud of?

Sacramental Preparation

For Adults

Thinking about becoming Catholic? Do you, or someone you know, have questions about Catholicism, or want to take the steps to become Catholic? We are beginning our annual sessions that help non-Catholics find answers about Catholicism and that assist them in becoming Catholic.

Sessions will be held on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30, starting on September 18. The first session will be held at St. Anne. Join us if you have questions or would like to learn more about the process! Fill out this Becoming Catholic Interest Form and one of our staff will be in touch with you.

For Children

First Reconciliation and First Communion typically happen in second grade. Confirmation is happening for children in seventh and eighth grade. This year, Jessica Harris is coordinating the Sacramental preparation for 1st Reconciliation/1st Communion for all parishes, and Susan Burdett is coordinating Confirmation for all parishes. If your child falls in one of these age ranges, registrations will be available the weekend of August 30/September 1. There are two opportunities for parents to learn about the preparation programs, dates, and expectations, and to register in-person, if you wish.

Monday, September 8, at 7 PM,

Our Lady of Fatima Parish Center

OR

Wednesday, September 10, at 7 PM,

St. Anne Narthex

Parents who have a child in either Sacramental age group are highly encouraged to attend one of these sessions. For questions, contact Jessica Harris at Jharris@nwseattlecatholic.org.
