Parish Census 2023

St. Anne's is conducting a parish wide census throughout the month of March. If you have never registered as a parishioner, please use the JOIN button in lieu of completing the census.

Census Q&A

What is the Census?

This year, we are conducting a census to get more accurate and up-to-date knowledge of the people who are actively involved in our community. We will be gathering relevant data from people involved with St. Anne. All data that is collected during this time is kept confidential and is not used for any marketing purposes. Our last census was completed over a decade ago, so it’s time to update!

What’s the goal of the Census?

There are many goals for the Census. The first and most important is from a logistics point-of-view. The Archdiocese of Seattle is doing a diocesan-wide database migration to a new system over the next several months in anticipation of the Partners of the Gospel initiative. Our current system is in desperate need of an overhaul (just ask any staff member!), and we are switching to ParishStaq – a user-friendly, intuitive system that allows parishioners to have more direct control over the information they share, tithing, communications, etc. It is key that we (the staff) know who is actively involved in our community. This will also give us the ability to make sure that records we have are current, so that our communications can be more effective. For this process to go smoothly, we are cleaning up our data!

Why are we doing it now?

St. Anne’s is migrating to the new database system over the next few months. The Archdiocesan wide process began in July 2022 and is due to be completed in Spring 2024. They have been conducting this in phases, and it is now our turn for these updates.

I’m already a registered parishioner, and you already have my information. Should I participate too?

Yes, please! This gives us another opportunity to make sure that all of our records are up to date before migrating the new system.

I’m not a registered parishioner, should I participate too?

Yes, please! But… maybe not at St. Anne’s. If you are a registered parishioner somewhere else, and you don’t plan on changing your registration, then you should participate at your home parish during their phase of the migration. If you have made your “home” here, and have yet to register, then this is a great opportunity for you to do so! By officially registering with St. Anne, you will be completing everything necessary for the Census.

How do I participate?

We’ve made it as simple as possible for you.

You can participate by completing the census on behalf of your entire household and even volunteering to help anyone who needs it after weekend Masses.

Existing parishioners may complete the Census form by clicking “Begin Census” below. Alternatively, non-registered persons may use the ‘join’ parish button at the top of the webpage. The entire process should only take 5 minutes or less. Volunteers will be available after the weekend Masses throughout March should you need assistance.  If you are looking for a volunteer opportunity please visit our sign up page
