Sacraments

“The sacraments are efficacious signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, by which divine life is dispensed to us.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1131).

Sacraments are the primary ways that we experience God’s power and love. These correspond to different human needs because his love, in order to be recognizable, must correspond to the places that we have need. However, in one sacrament, we experience His Presence, and this is in the Eucharist. Click below to find out who to contact for receiving these sacraments and what preparation is required before receiving them.

Baptism

Become a member of the Church, the Body of Christ, through the Sacrament of Baptism at St. Anne Catholic Parish.

Confirmation

In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is "sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit" and strives for holiness.

First Eucharist

A person seeking to enter into a full relationship with Christ receives the Holy Eucharist by making their First Communion.

Confession

Experience healing through Confession, the forgiveness of sins, and reconciliation with Christ and His Church.

Anointing of the Sick

In the case of illness or old age, the sick may be anointed with a promise of God’s healing presence and the forgiveness of sins.

Holy Matrimony

Holy Matrimony is when a public promise is made by husband and wife to honor and be true to each other for the rest of their lives and accept children lovingly from God.

Holy Orders

Men can set themselves apart for a life of ministry in service of Christ’s bride—the church—through the Sacrament of Holy Orders.
