Annual Catholic Appeal
Archbishop Etienne thanks you
for your generous support of the Annual Catholic Appeal. We couldn’t do it without you. If you haven’t donated, there is still time. Give today through the ACA link on our parish website. Thank you!
St. Anne’s and the Annual Catholic Appeal
For those of you unfamiliar with the Annual Catholic Appeal (or ACA), it is an annual campaign that kicks off each spring to support over 60 ministries throughout Western Washington. These ministries include Mental Health; Hospital/Criminal Justice; Faith Formation; Youth & Young Adult; Catholic Youth Organization (CYO); CYO camps; Marriage & Family Life; Priest, Seminarian & Deacon Services; and many others.
Additionally, the ACA provides centralized services to St. Anne’s and the rest of the parishes through Human Resources (Benefits/Payroll); Parish Financial Services; Property/Risk Management Services; and the Vicar for Clergy Services.
By participating in the ACA campaign, the St. Anne community offers support to ministries doing good work both within and outside of our parish boundaries.
St. Anne’s has a beautiful history of participating in the ACA. In the past decade we have exceeded our goal each year through your incredible generosity.
ACA 2024
Our goal this year is $85,617 and I desire that we reach 37% participation. Our average gift last year was $598, and I ask that you please consider giving $400 to the campaign, at least as a starting point. Your gift can either be a one-time gift, or given in installments throughout this next year.
Also, we have a voting system this year to pick our Rebate project, and I am so excited about this possibility! For those of us who are unfamiliar with the Rebate, if we raise funds beyond our goal, those additional funds come back to St. Anne and are used for special projects. This year, I would like your help in determining how our rebate funds should be spent. I invite you, once you have pledged to make your gift, to submit a vote for one of the following three projects:
- A campus-wide initiative to update our clear glass windows and frames to be more energy efficient. Part of the rebate money would go to support the school’s windows being replaced in addition to the church’s windows. The windows in the church and office spaces have never been replaced since St. Anne’s expanded across Lee Street in 1962.
- Installing a heating control/thermostat system in the church. We have a working boiler and compressor, but the control system is inefficient. We currently do not have a thermostat, and this has led to difficult-to-control temperatures in the church space and a waste of heat throughout the winter months.
- Making some roof repairs to ensure it stays in good health, as it is 17 years old. Each winter, the roof has areas of standing water, which we currently pump off. We’d like to add additional drains, as well as make some patches, to ensure the roof has as long a life as possible.
Thank you for prayerfully considering your donation to the ACA.
