Parish Life

Dear Readers, Parishioners of our Parish Family

The new year 2025 is only two weeks old. But already it feels like I’m back in the midst of the usual routines and everyday life. The Christmas decorations haven’t even been properly put away!

In the first week of January, I still had the feeling of something new, untouched, and unwritten. With this feeling, I started this year full of expectation: What might it bring? What will change? What am I already looking forward to?

I have consciously asked for God’s blessing for this year, for myself and for others in my New Year’s greetings. More than ever, I feel the limits of my possibilities in what is happening around me. Asking for, hoping for, and repeatedly placing oneself under God’s blessing and protection gives me confidence and strength for what may come this year. It helps me accept that not everything is feasible and plannable, and to look to the future with more serenity and trust.

May we go through this year strengthened by God’s blessing with confidence and trust. This is what I wish for you and our community from the bottom of my heart.

In Christ,

Barbara Bumbarger for the Parish Family Team
