Parish Life of Sacred Heart of Jesus & St. Anne

Dear Readers, Parishioners from Sacred Heart of Jesus & St. Anne,

Whenever particularly beautiful events are approaching, we look forward to them with great anticipation and can hardly wait. This is also the case during these special weeks in winter: because from the first Sunday of Advent, the Advent season begins – the preparation time for Christmas. During Advent, we look forward to the arrival of Jesus, the Son of God, at Christmas. This is when we celebrate the birth of Jesus. That is why Advent has its name – the Latin word ‘adventus’ means arrival. During this time of joyful anticipation, we are happy to provide our parishioners with Advent prayer books and, if you don’t already have one, Advent wreaths. We encourage you to pick them up after mass.
