Thanksgiving Day ~ November 28, 2019

+ For the Church as the Body of Christ on Earth:  may we be your hands and your feet and serve others in gratefulness for the gifts you have given us.  Lord, our joy of heart, in thanksgiving we pray.

+ With worldwide racial, cultural and religious divisions, we pray that people in communities everywhere, including our own, will find your Son's face in each other and act with justice, respect and love.  Lord, our joy of heart, in thanksgiving we pray.

+ In gratitude and thanksgiving for all our blessings.  Help us to share our joy and first fruits with others, especially those most in need.  Lord, our joy of heart, in thanksgiving we pray.

+ For all who suffer loneliness:  May they experience your closeness and the support of others.  Lord, our joy of heart, in thanksgiving we pray.

+ Help us, Holy Spirit, to reach out in love to all peoples.  Lord, our joy of heart, in thanksgiving we pray.

+ For all those who are sick.  We pray also for those who have died including all those included on our Altar of Remembrance.  Lord, our joy of heart, in thanksgiving we pray.

+ For the prayers we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord, our joy of heart, in thanksgiving we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
