September 3 ~ Twenty-second Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ For the renewal of the Church with greater missionary outreach as its goal.  Father, our joy and our helper, we pray.

+ May those in civil authority dedicate themselves to justice, peace, authentic freedom, and the generous defense of the poor.  Father, our joy and our helper, we pray.

+ Please watch over our nation during these turbulent times.  Father, our joy and our helper, we pray.

+ May you come to us like a fire burning in our hearts, a fire we cannot hold within but which transforms our lives into love.  Father, our joy and our helper, we pray.

+ For blessings on all peoples affected by disasters, especially those suffering in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.  Father, our joy and our helper, we pray.

+ We also ask for your blessings on our community's work to serve our neighbors who may be in need, through our parish St. Vincent de Paul Society.  Father, our joy and our helper, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, especially Marianne Jurich, Marian Long, and Agnes Lewis.  We pray also for those who have died, including Nicholas O’Connell, Sr., and Janice Pehl. Father, our joy and our helper, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Father, our joy and our helper, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at
