September 27 ~ Twenty-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time

For blessings on Pope Francis and the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia.  Lord of life and peace, we pray.

Bestow your Spirit on all humankind that all may know that you are a God of love and mercy, justice and peace.  Lord of life and peace, we pray.

For those killed and those injured in the accident on the Aurora Bridge last Thursday, for their families and loved ones.  Lord of life and peace, we pray.

May the unemployed soon find gainful employment and be free from discouragement.  Lord of life and peace, we pray.

Because you sent the Messiah to be a lowly servant and not king, give us the humility to understand that we, too, are here to serve - in Jesus' name.  Lord of life and peace, we pray.

Since we are not here to live only for ourselves, give us the courage to reach out to others and follow your will in each present moment.  Lord of life and peace, we pray.

For the grace this week to be cleansed from all our unknown faults.  Lord of life and peace, we pray.

For all those who are sick, especially Frances Covey, Terry Casey, Charlene Collora, and Kathy Milia, niece of Marty Hillary.  Also, we pray for those who have died including Dale Dankers, husband of Lorraine; and Jim Shields, father of Mike Shields.  Lord of life and peace, we pray.

In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord of life and peace, we pray.
