September 24 ~ Twenty-fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May the Church help us to magnify Christ in our lives by making us fruitful in our labors.  Jesus, promise of life without end, we pray.

+ May civil rulers work to eliminate the structural causes of poverty and to promote the integral development of the poor.  Jesus, promise of life without end, we pray.

+ We pray for our common home - the earth - scarred by conflict and natural disaster.  Bring healing to its lands and cleansing to its waters.  Bring justice to its peoples and peace to its nations.  Bring life for today and hope for the future.  Jesus, promise of life without end, we pray.

+ God of all eternity, ignite in us, your people, the hope that we will heal our broken world, and grow in us the perseverance to keep praying and working towards that day when your creation will once again be whole and free.  Jesus, promise of life without end, we pray.

+ For the grace to conduct ourselves in a way worthy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Jesus, promise of life without end, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, especially Diane McBroom, mother of Natasha Erlich; and Carol Ford.  We pray also for those who have died, including Dr. Salvatore Raiti, father of John Raiti; Florence Zarrillo, grandmother of Ami Cuneo-Raiti; and Joyce Powers.   Jesus, promise of life without end, we pray.

+ In gratitude for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Jesus, promise of life without end, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
