September 22 ~ 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ For the world:  let us offer supplications, prayers and petitions for all in authority that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in devotion and dignity.  Lord of all truth, we pray.

+ For the Church:  may the Holy Spirit direct our South American Bishops and other Christian leaders in their efforts in advocating for protection of the Amazon Rain Forest.  Lord of all truth, we pray.

+ For those who are hungry and thirsty: that you make us the instruments to relieve their need.  Lord of all truth, we pray.

+ In our community, help us to be honest and trustworthy in all things with each other, honoring and caring for one another.  Lord of all truth, we pray.

+ Give us the grace to value not money, power or position, but rather your love.  Lord of all truth, we pray.

+ Let us pray for those who have died, and for all who are sick, including those whose names we now say out loud:     Lord of all truth, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
