September 20 ~ Twenty-fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May you bless and protect our Holy Father Pope Francis on his papal visit to the United States.  God of truth and love, we pray.

+ Pour out your grace on all those who turn to terrorism; may their rage be transformed into a commitment to work for the good of all.  God of truth and love, we pray.

+ May all people come to know your peace, gentleness and mercy that turns minds and hearts toward you.  God of truth and love, we pray.

+ Help us to overcome our self-centered attitudes and disordered desires, knowing that we are all equal in your eyes and dependent on you.  God of truth and love, we pray.

+ For the grace this week to be childlike in our actions and attitudes toward others.  God of truth and love, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Frances Covey, Terry Casey, Charlene Collora, and Kathy Milia, niece of Marty Hillary.  Also, we pray for those who have died including Jim Shields, father of Mike Shields.  God of truth and love, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  God of truth and love, we pray.
