September 13 ~ Twenty-Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ In this year dedicated to consecrated life, may religious men and women rediscover the joy of following Christ, and strive to serve the poor with zeal.  Lord Jesus Christ, Help of the Faithful, we pray.

+ May the nations of the European Union, and our own country, respond quickly to the needs of those fleeing desperate situations in Syria, Libya and Iraq.  Move our hearts with compassion and inspire us with solutions to this crisis.  Lord Jesus Christ, Help of the Faithful, we pray.

+ Bless all those who extend their helping hands to those in need of food, shelter and clothing, who share their time, talents and resources with others.  Lord Jesus Christ, Help of the Faithful, we pray.

+ Give us the unflinching trust that you will not fail to come to our aid.  Lord Jesus Christ, Help of the Faithful, we pray.

+ We ask for the courage to take concrete action in the world for good and for love, in imitation of Jesus.  Lord Jesus Christ, Help of the Faithful, we pray.

+ For the grace this week to deny ourselves and to take up Christ's cross.  Lord Jesus Christ, Help of the Faithful, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Frances Covey, and Kathy Milia, niece of Marty Hillary.  Also, we pray for those who have died.  Lord Jesus Christ, Help of the Faithful, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord Jesus Christ, Help of the Faithful, we pray.
