September 1 ~ 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time

For our church: that we may strive to practice the humility Jesus tells us is the pathway to a place at his table.  Lord, God of wisdom, we pray.

That all your children will be blessed with the opportunity to experience the dignity of work.  Lord, God of wisdom, we pray.

For those who long for kindness and a gentle touch:  help us to be your hands and voice reaching out to them.  Lord, God of wisdom, we pray.

We pray for those affected by the hurricane. Lord, God of wisdom, we pray.

May we here at St. Anne have the courage and humility to be servants of all, both in our actions and in our hearts.  Lord, God of wisdom, we pray.

Bless the children, teachers and administrators beginning this new school year, and bring them your joy in all that they do.  Lord, God of wisdom, we pray.

For all those who are sick including Joan Johnson, Margaret Rican (Rick’-en,) Frank Siderius, Alan Rosenthal, Beverly Peterson, Naomi Zamberlin, and Katherine Gehrts.  We pray also for those who have died including Gerry Killion, husband of Judy Killion; Bruce Edwards, son of Betty Edwards; Karen Cook, mother of Regan Hurley; Bob Maxwell; and Lois Tossman, mother of Kim Tossman-Matt.  Lord, God of wisdom, we pray.

In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord, God of wisdom, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
