Prayers of the Faithful

November 9

+ May the Church be renewed in holiness and be the place where the Holy Spirit flourishes.  Holy Spirit dwelling within us, we pray.

+ For all those who are forgotten or cast off, that each human life may be valued as a priceless gift.  Holy Spirit dwelling within us, we pray.

+ An inscription in the St. John Lateran Basilica says:  "No barrier can divide where life unites: one faith, one fount, one spirit, makes one people."  Help us to remember this, especially in times of strife.  Holy Spirit dwelling within us, we pray.

+ May we be like the streams Ezekiel spoke of which flowed out of the temple and down toward the sea - may we be part of the abundance of your love flowing out to heal and restore the world.  Holy Spirit dwelling within us, we pray.

+ For the grace this week to be an instrument of reconciliation and evangelization.  Holy Spirit dwelling within us, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Doug and Sandra Dow, parents of Barbara Shields; Charlene Collora (ko-lor'-a); and Maria Cinquina (chin-queen-a), grandmother of Rachel Peck.   Also, we pray for those who have died including Terry Gleason, Karen Kearns, Margaret Rowe Nelson, and Paul Schmidt, father of John Schmidt.   Holy Spirit dwelling within us, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our new Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Holy Spirit dwelling within us, we pray.
