Prayers of the Faithful

Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May the church, by witness and ministry, move all people to love you with all their heart, soul, mind and strength.  God of love, we pray.

+ For peace in our world, according to your will.  God of love, we pray.

+ For all persons caught up in conflicts and wars, for those living in refugee camps, and for those widowed and orphaned.  God of love, we pray.

+ May those facing difficult decisions know that you will stand by them and enlighten their minds and hearts.  God of love, we pray.

+ May we, too, in our own lives, be imitators of Jesus.  God of love, we pray.

+ For our community:  Help us to realize that we are made one by sharing with each other our earthly journey with Jesus, and receiving his Holy Spirit.  God of love, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, especially Doug and Sandra Dow, parents of Barbara Shields; Maria Cinquina (chin-queen-a), grandmother of Rachel Peck ;and Margaret Rowe Nelson.   Also, we pray for those who have died, especially Terry Gleason and Paul Mottle.  God of love, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our new Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  God of love, we pray.
