October 9 ~ 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May the Church persevere with steadfast faith in confessing your name.  Jesus, light of kindness, we pray.

+ We pray for all those in the world - including people in this parish - who work against injustice and seek to make the human journey on earth more joyful.  Jesus, light of kindness, we pray.

+ That journalists throughout the world, in carrying out their work, may always be motivated by respect for truth and a strong sense of ethics.  Jesus, light of kindness, we pray.

+ Open our hearts so that your will for our lives will flourish there, and give us the courage to then follow it for the transformation of the world.  Jesus, light of kindness, we pray.

+ For the people of Haiti and the southeastern US affected by Hurricane Matthew.  For those who have died and those injured; for those who have lost homes and businesses; for protection and safety for those who survive.  Jesus, light of kindness, we pray.

+ May we recognize all the goodness you have brought into our lives and live in a spirit of sincere and constant gratitude.  Jesus, light of kindness, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Betty Bertoldi; Chris Hurley; Mike Finn; Fred Kilmer; Max Zamberlin; and Rufus Moore.  We also pray for those who have died.  Jesus, light of kindness, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Jesus, light of kindness, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
