October 4 ~ Twenty-seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May the Church be ever mindful of embracing the gifts given to prepare each of us to accept Your kingdom.  Lord of all blessings, we pray.

+ For all who are vulnerable, especially unborn children, persons with disabilities, those fleeing their homelands, and those who are poor, elderly, or suffering from illness:  may they be respected and cared for according to their God-given dignity.  Lord of all blessings, we pray.

+ For the victims of the mass shooting in Roseburg, Oregon: for those who died, those wounded, their families and loved ones.  We pray also for those who suffer from mental illness.  Bring healing and wholeness to all.  Lord of all blessings, we pray.

+ As Jesus, our brother, endured suffering out of love, may we, too, seek to find you and your love in our trials and despair.  Lord of all blessings, we pray.

+ Help us to remember how much we need one another.  Lord of all blessings, we pray.

+ For the grace this week to be strong participants in spreading peace.  Lord of all blessings, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, especially Frances Keenan, Frances Covey, Terry Casey, Charlene Collora, Karen & Bill Cook, parents of Regan Hurley; and Kathy Milia, niece of Marty Hillary.  Also, we pray for those who have died including Robert Kokesh, father of Vanessa Gallant; Jim Shields, father of Mike Shields; and Dale Dankers.   Lord of all blessings, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord of all blessings, we pray.
