October 22 ~ Twenty-ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May World Mission Day renew within all Christian communities the joy of the Gospel; through the Church, may the good news of your love be made manifest in the world.  Lord, king of all creation, we pray.

+ We pray for our country, calling to mind all that is good in our nation, and all that is in harmony with your spirit of justice and mercy.  May your kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Lord, king of all creation, we pray.

+ May we defend religious liberty in order to live the deeper freedom that is discipleship in Jesus Christ.  Lord, king of all creation, we pray.

+ For the all those in need, and those forgotten by society: may our eyes never fail to see them; may our hearts never fail to have compassion for them; and may our hands never fail to reach out to them.  Lord, king of all creation, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for your presence with us today at St. Anne as we discover you once again in each other.  Lord, king of all creation, we pray.

+ For the grace to be good citizens and to witness the grace of the Gospel.  Lord, king of all creation, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Bill Nous; George Robinson, father of Annmarie White; and Diane McBroom, mother of Natasha Erlich.  We pray also for those who have died, including Peggy Slatt, mother of Mary Davis, and Vo Nguyen, father of Kim Nguyen.  Lord, king of all creation, we pray.

+ In gratitude for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord, king of all creation, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
