October 21 ~ Twenty-ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ That the church and all it members may follow the example of their Lord, who came not to be served, but to serve.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ In thanksgiving for all the baptisms, first communions, confirmations and reconciliations; all the funerals and marriages; and all the celebrations that have taken place in St. Anne parish since 1908.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ We also give thanks for all the priests, pastoral coordinators, staff members and teachers who have served here.  Most importantly, we stand in gratitude for all the parishioners who since 1908 have made this church their home and filled it with their service and love.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ We thank you for all the ways you have blessed our parish from its beginning, and ask for your continued blessings in the years to come.  May we renew our commitment to serve you in faith as we go forth from this place to help heal the world in your name.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick including Chari Kinney; Joseph Gentile, father of Liz McKay; Lorraine Crist; Laine Tyerman; Mike Finn; Carol Vizzare [viz-AR]; and Kathi Ellsworth.  We also pray for all those who have died, including Norm Ellsworth and Father Dick Basso.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
