October 16 ~ Twenty-ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May World Mission Day renew within all Christian communities the joy of the Gospel and the responsibility to share it.  Lord of faithfulness, we pray.

+ Let the rain come and wash away the ancient grudges, the bitter hatreds held and nurtured over generations over all the earth.  Lord of faithfulness, we pray.

+ For children with special needs, their parents and their families: that they will be given all the love and support they need by their communities.  Lord of faithfulness, we pray.

+ We pray for the transforming work of your Holy Spirit in our new intercessory prayer ministry where we dare to pray for the individual members, programs and ministries of our parish and for their needs.  Lord of faithfulness, we pray.

+ Help us to be a welcoming community working to continue the mission of Jesus Christ.  Lord of faithfulness, we pray.

+ For the grace to improve our prayer life.  Lord of faithfulness, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, especially Betty Bertoldi; Chris Hurley; Mike Finn; Fred Kilmer; Max Zamberlin; and Rufus Moore.  We also pray for those who have died.  Lord of faithfulness, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord of faithfulness, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
