October 11 ~ Twenty-eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ That the Church will act as a mediator in finding solutions to problems affecting peace, social harmony, the defense of life, and human and civil rights.  Lord, guide to eternal life, we pray.

+ May human trafficking, the modern form of slavery, be eradicated.  Help us to be part of the solution.  Lord, guide to eternal life, we pray.

+ For all those suffering in the aftermath of severe weather, for those who have died, and for their loved ones, we ask that you surround them with Your love and peace.  Lord, guide to eternal life, we pray.

+ Keep our hearts and minds illuminated and guided by your loving presence.  Lord, guide to eternal life, we pray.

+ May we hear and understand - and find comfort in - the fact that you see us exactly as we are, this very moment.  Therefore, there is nowhere we can hide from your love.  Lord, guide to eternal life, we pray.

+ For the grace this week to surrender everything to you, knowing in our hearts that that very surrender is what will bring us true freedom and joy.  Lord, guide to eternal life, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Frances Keenan, Frances Covey, Terry Casey, Charlene Collora; Karen & Bill Cook, parents of Regan Hurley; and Kathy Milia, niece of Marty Hillary.  Also, we pray for those who have died including Robert Kokesh, father of Vanessa Gallant; Betty Tisdale; and Dale Dankers. Lord, guide to eternal life, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord, guide to eternal life, we pray.
