+ May this Advent be for the Church a faith-filled journey toward the horizon of hope.  Father of love, we pray.

+ Grant that violence be overcome by the power of love.  Father of love, we pray.

+ For an end to warfare: that weapons will be dismantled to become instruments of peace over the earth.  Father of love, we pray.

+ May the justice, peace and mercy we long for, permeate our world.  May we express it in our own lives, rooted in Your love.  Father of love, we pray.

+ Help us remember that hope is never lost with You by our side.  Father of love, we pray.

+ For the grace to intensify our preparation for Jesus' coming as the hope of the world.  Father of love, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, especially Charlene Collora; Mike Finn; Michelle Betts; Sister Virginia Pearson; and Mary Shelley.  We pray also for those who have died, including Rosi Palmer; and Merton Purnell, father of Chuck Purnell .  Father of love, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Father of love, we pray.
