November 27 ~ First Sunday of Advent

+ May this Advent be for the Church a faith-filled journey toward you, the horizon of hope.  Lord, judge of all nations and peoples, we pray.

+ For an end to warfare: that weapons will be dismantled to become instruments of peace.  Lord, judge of all nations and peoples, we pray.

+ May we throw off the works of darkness and put on the armor of your light.  Lord, judge of all nations and peoples, we pray.

+ Give us hope.  Help us to truly live the scandalousness of our faith which is that we are all loved by you and that we can truly love one another.  Lord, judge of all nations and peoples, we pray.

+ As we are gathered again as the Body of Christ at St. Anne, speak to our hearts as to how we can best help heal the world.  Lord, judge of all nations and peoples, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Betty Bertoldi; John Kalnin; Chris Hurley; Mike Finn; and Taylor Thole.   We pray for those who have died, including Father Gary Morelli, Tom Challoner and Marieta Fontenelle.  Lord, judge of all nations and peoples, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord, judge of all nations and peoples, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
