November 25 ~ Feast of Christ the King

+ That the Church will always be a place of mercy freely given, where everyone is encouraged to live a life exemplified by the Gospel.  Lord, the Alpha and Omega, we pray.

+ For the world leaders:  that they will see their power as a sharing in your authority, and will reflect it in the way they govern.  Lord, the Alpha and Omega, we pray.

+ We ask that you bless our nation especially during these trying times.  May the inclusiveness of your love for all people help to end all divisions, including those in our own hearts.  Lord, the Alpha and Omega, we pray.

+ May we listen to the voice of Jesus speaking truth to us today and may we proclaim it always in our hearts and in our lives.  Lord, the Alpha and Omega, we pray.

+ Help us to always remember that the power of your kingdom is love.  Lord, the Alpha and Omega, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, including Christine Ball; Joseph Gentile; Mike Finn; Carol Vizzare; Sylvia Sanders; Barbara Lowney;  Chari Kinney; and Angela Downs.  We also pray for those who have died, including Norm Ellsworth and Gertrude Bolster, as well as  those included on our Altar of Remembrance. Lord, the Alpha and Omega, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord, the Alpha and Omega, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
