November 23 Christ the King

+ In this year dedicated to consecrated life, may religious men and women rediscover the joy of following Christ and strive to serve the poor with zeal.  Lord, our King and Shepherd, we pray.

+ May the truth, the justice and the sovereignty of Christ the King rid the world of every trace of hatred.  Lord, our King and Shepherd, we pray.

+ You are our Shepherd.  You care for us and love us.  We shall not want.  Lord, our King and Shepherd, we pray.

+ For all who are forgotten or thrown away, and especially for the poor, the sick and the aged:  that you might change our hearts and move us to love them as the image of your Son.  Lord, our King and Shepherd, we pray.

+ As St. Benedict said, "May we welcome all as Christ."  Give us the grace to do so.  Lord, our King and Shepherd, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Charlene Collora (ko-lor'-a); and Maria Cinquina (chin-queen-a).   Also, we pray for those who have died including Larry Hanson, father of Eric Hanson, Paul Schmidt, father of John Schmidt, Pat O’Keefe, mother of Kate Youngblood, and Grant Denning, nephew of Joe & Della Maricich.   Lord, our King and Shepherd, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our new Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord, our King and Shepherd, we pray.
