November 20 ~ Feast of Christ the King

+ That as the Jubilee Year of Mercy draws to a close, the Church will always be a place of mercy freely given, where everyone is encouraged to live the good life of the Gospel.  Jesus, King of the Universe, we pray.

+ For world leaders: that they will see their power as a sharing in your authority, and reflect it in the way they govern.  Jesus, King of the Universe, we pray.

+ Deliver us from the power of darkness.  May we steadfastly remain in the light of your kingdom.  Jesus, King of the Universe, we pray.

+ Oh, Jesus, because you are God, you are the fullness of God.  Like the thief on the cross, remember us.  Jesus, King of the Universe, we pray.

+ Bless our new main doors.  Bless our coming through them as we come together to worship you here in this place.  Bless our walking through them again as we leave to go out into the world to transform it in your name and with your love.  Jesus, King of the Universe, we pray.

+ For the grace to put our trust in you.  Jesus, King of the Universe, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, especially Betty Bertoldi; John Kalnin; Chris Hurley; Mike Finn; and Taylor Thole. We pray for those who have died, including Father Gary Morelli, Tom Challoner and Marieta Fontenelle.  Jesus, King of the Universe, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Jesus, King of the Universe, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
