November 2, All Souls Day

November 2, 2014 All Souls Day

+ May the Church and all people of goodwill work together for peace in the world in our time.  Lord of both living and dead, we pray.

+ Grant that violence be overcome by the power of love, that opposition give way to reconciliation, and that the desire to oppress be transformed into the desire for forgiveness, justice and peace.  Lord of both living and dead, we pray.

+ Help us as community to truly be the Body of Christ.  Give us courage to be part of your work on earth, and help us to minister to one another.  Lord of both living and dead, we pray.

+ We stand here as individuals and as community, aware of your presence around us and within us, and so we especially remember our loved ones who have died.  We remember them now by saying their names out loud (pause until no other voices are heard)Lord of both living and dead, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Doug and Sandra Dow, parents of Barbara Shields; Charlene Collora (ko-lor'-a); and Maria Cinquina (chin-queen-a), grandmother of Rachel Peck.  Lord of both living and dead, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our new Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord of both living and dead, we pray.
