November 18 ~ 33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May the Church follow in the footsteps of Jesus.  Lord of love and mercy, we pray.

+ For the people in southern California who are suffering because of the huge wildfires spreading throughout the area, and for those living in other areas subjected to fire, floods and storms.  Lord of love and mercy, we pray.

+ For the 43 million people in our country who experience the pain and suffering of poverty every day:  may Christians everywhere, including ourselves, join with them to share their burdens.  Lord of love and mercy, we pray.

+ Help us to be more like Jesus, who lived a life of service for others, a life steeped in your love.  Lord of love and mercy, we pray.

+ For the grace to lead many to justice.  Lord of love and mercy, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick including Christine Ball; Joseph Gentile; Mike Finn; Carol Vizzare; Sylvia Sanders; Kathi Ellsworth, Barbara Lowney; Patty Repikoff; Chari Kinney; and Angela Downs.  We also pray for those who have died, including Norm Ellsworth, and for those included on our Altar of Remembrance.  Lord of love and mercy, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord of love and mercy, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
