November 17 ~ Thirty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ On this World Day of the Poor, help us to renew our commitment to recognize and respond to the needs of our neighbors.  Spirit of fire, we pray.

+ For our Church:  for the grace to work in harmony and mutual respect in the building of your kingdom.  Spirit of fire, we pray.

+ In this Native Peoples Awareness Month, we remember the Duwamish tribe who have lived on this land for thousands of years, and we pray for the well-being of its members living amongst us today.  Spirit of fire, we pray.

+ At St. Anne's, help us to imitate Jesus in all ways including welcoming others as we would welcome him.  Spirit of fire, we pray.

+ We pray for all those who are sick, including those whose names we now say out loud.  Spirit of fire, we pray.

+ We pray also for those who have died including Beverly Peterson.  Spirit of fire, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Spirit of fire, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
