November 13 ~ Thirty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ That within parishes priests and lay people may collaborate in service to the community without giving in to the temptation of discouragement.  Jesus, Lord of Perseverance, we pray.

+ We pray for our country as we go through this monumental transition of governance.  Regardless of what happens in the future, help us as individuals to unfailingly be your agents of love, inclusion, justice and compassion in the world.  Jesus, Lord of Perseverance, we pray.

+ Give us the perseverance and hope we need to wait for the rising of your fire of love, your sun of justice, with its purifying and healing ways.  Jesus, Lord of Perseverance, we pray.

+ We ask your blessings on all those who are beginning their discernment journey toward confirmation.  Whisper to them in their hearts and empassion their spirits as they move through this process, and may they be ever aware of your loving presence in their lives.  Jesus, Lord of Perseverance, we pray.

+ For the grace to persevere in the faith as effective witnesses to your Word.  Jesus, Lord of Perseverance, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Betty Bertoldi; John Kalnin; Chris Hurley; Mike Finn; Taylor Thole; Terry Casey; Rufus Moore.   We pray for those who have died, including Larry McNamee, Father Gary Morelli, Nita Hester, Tom Challoner and Marieta Fontenelle.    Jesus, Lord of Perseverance, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Jesus, Lord of Perseverance, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
