November 11 ~ Thirty-second Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ For the Bishops of the United States gathering this week for their annual November meeting, that through an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, they will be guided by your wisdom and courage, and that they will always lead us after the example of Jesus, the Good Shepherd.  Holy Spirit, giver of all gifts, we pray.

+ On this 100th Anniversary of the end of World War I, we pray for not only the end of all wars, but for true peace in our world and for harmony among the nations.  We also pray for all those—past and present—who have protected our country by serving in the military.  Holy Spirit, giver of all gifts, we pray.

+ For the refugees and asylum seekers now traveling through Mexico: that these families - our brothers and sisters - may find welcome, compassion and safety.  Holy Spirit, giver of all gifts, we pray.

+ As did the widow in today's Gospel, may we unabashedly lay all that we have at your feet and trust ourselves to you.  Holy Spirit, giver of all gifts, we pray.

+ For the grace to be generous in living out our faith.  Holy Spirit, giver of   all gifts, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick including Christine Ball; Joseph Gentile; Mike Finn; Carol Vizzare; Sylvia Sanders; Kathi Ellsworth, Barbara Lowney; Patty Repikoff; Chari Kinney; and Angela Downs.     We also pray for those who have died, including Lorraine Crist and Norm Ellsworth, as well as all those included on our Altar of Remembrance.    Holy Spirit, giver of all gifts, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.   We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Holy Spirit, giver of all gifts, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
