PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

November 16, Thirty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ For all those who suffer loneliness, may the Church help them to experience your closeness.  Lord, who remains with us always, we pray.

+ For peace in our time, according to your will. Lord, who remains with us always, we pray.

+ For those deprived of their human needs and their human rights:  that they may be given the dignity which you confer on all your people.  Lord, who remains with us always, we pray.

+ St. Paul tells us that we are children of the day and of the light.  May we so act.  Lord, who remains with us always, we pray.

+ Jesus said so many times, "Be not afraid."  Give us the courage to live— not in fear, but in your hope—although we often find that challenging.  Lord, who remains with us always, we pray.

+ For the grace this week to spend ourselves in your service.  Lord, who remains with us always, we pray.

+ For those who are sick especially Doug and Sandra Dow; Charlene Collora (ko-lor'-a); and Maria Cinquina (chin-queen-a).   Also, we pray for those who have died including Terry Gleason, Karen Kearns; Larry Hanson, father of Eric Hanson, Paul Schmidt, father of John Schmidt, and Grant Denning, nephew of Joe & Della Maricich.  Lord, who remains with us always, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our new Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord, who remains with us always, we pray.
