May 5 ~ Third Sunday of Easter

+ May those who were baptized and confirmed at Easter grow ever stronger in their faith and be powerful witnesses of the Gospel.  Christ, our refuge and life, we pray.

+ That you will grant our civic leaders wisdom, courage and a firm commitment t true goodness.  Christ, our refuge and life, we pray.

+ Give us the strength to open our hearts to the grace to see every human being as one of your children, regardless of race, religion or economic situation.  Christ, our refuge and life, we pray.

+ We pray for the Catholic witnesses walking from Bellingham to Tacoma to show solidarity with immigrant families being held in Detention.  Protect and sustain your people, and let your healing light be made known through them.  Christ, our refuge and life, we pray.

+ Like the disciples in today's Gospel, we long to see you again.  Help us to find your presence in one another and in ourselves.  Christ, our refuge and life, we pray.

+ For the grace to keep Christ's commandments and to be perfected in his love.  Christ, our refuge and life, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, including Virginia Massett, sister of Karen Brookman; Carolanne Sinclair; Angela Downs; Chris Hurley; Michelle Morrison; Molly Malloy; and Archbishop Alex Brunett.  We also pray for those who have died, including Maxine Gill Larson, aunt of John and Kathy Kirschner; and Marianne King, sister of Marge Grinnel. Lord of mercy and peace, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord of mercy and peace, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
