May 17 ~ Ascension of the Lord

+ Through the Church's faithful announcement of the Gospel, may your Word increase love and give full meaning to pain and suffering.  God who remains in us, we pray.

+ May the women and girls in Nigeria, who were captured by radical Islamists and now are free, be healed - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually - and those still held captive be found.  God who remains in us, we pray.

+ May the children of St. Anne Parish who receive Holy Communion for the first time this weekend, realize that the Eucharist will give them unending friendship with you.  God who remains in us, we pray.

+ Open our hearts and minds to the truth that we - all of us here together, in community - are the Body of Christ, ignited by the Holy Spirit, to love and to serve.  God who remains in us, we pray.

+ In thankfulness that we are one at your table.  God who remains in us, we pray.

+ For the grace this week to acknowledge to all we meet that Jesus is the Son of God.  God who remains in us, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Sister Virginia Pearson; and for those who have died, including Patty Moriarty Gilroy; and Helen Kennedy, mother of Craig Kennedy.  God who remains in us, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  God who remains in us, we pray.
