May 12 ~ 4th Sunday of Easter

For the bishops, the shepherds of the Church: that they will be filled with zeal and have the heart of Christ, the Good Shepherd.  Holy Trinity who guides us, we pray.

May those who govern favor truth, justice, and a commitment to peace.  Holy Trinity who guides us, we pray.

For Isabella Connors, who is celebrating her First Communion this weekend, and for the 29 children who will receive First Communion next Sunday:  may they be aware of God's love for them now and throughout all their lives.  Holy Trinity who guides us, we pray.

As you did in the early church, in the name of Jesus, light a fire in our hearts, a fire that fills us with joy.  Holy Trinity who guides us, we pray.

For those killed and injured in the Colorado school shooting. Lead us to find a solution to the problem of violence in our society.   Holy Trinity who guides us, we pray.

For the grace to hear and follow the voice of Jesus in all we do.  Holy Trinity who guides us, we pray.

For all those who are sick, including Virginia Massett, sister of Karen Brookman; Carolanne Sinclair; Angela Downs; Chris Hurley; Molly Malloy, and Archbishop Alex Brunett.  We also pray for those who have died, including Maxine Gill Larson, aunt of John and Kathy Kirschner; Carol Berbells, sister of Marge Grinnell; and Alice Jones.  Holy Trinity who guides us, we pray.

In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Holy Trinity who guides us, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
