March 31 ~ 4th Sunday of Lent

+ For those throughout the world who are preparing to enter the Church this Easter: that you will free them from false values that can blind them.    Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ May those who hold public office imitate your goodness to secure justice and lift the oppressed.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ We pray for our country during this time of upheaval.  Guide us in the way we should go.  Help us to recognize that we are all one.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ Just as you call us to live a life of love, mercy and forgiveness, may we truly recognize in our hearts how deeply and unconditionally you love us.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ Help us to remember that Lent is our chance to make our own journey again through the desert - to reconnect with you, with each other and even with our own selves.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ For the grace to return to you in true contrition and confession of our sins.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, including Virginia Massett, sister of Karen Brookman; Angela Downs; Chris Hurley; and George Reich.  We also pray for those who have died, including Vlad Buchheit, of O’Dea High School.    Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
