March 26 ~ Fourth Sunday of Lent (Laetare Sunday)

+ For those preparing to enter the Church this Easter who as they celebrate the Second Scrutiny this weekend: free these elect and all of us from the false values that blind us.  Jesus, living light for all, we pray.

+ May those who hold public office imitate your goodness, and secure justice and the rights of all the oppressed.  Jesus, living light for all, we pray.

+ Amid the current darkness in our world, help us to live in unity as children of your light - where your goodness, righteousness, truth and love are visible to all.  Jesus, living light for all, we pray.

+ This Lent may we fast from indifference, and notice the needs we see all around us.  Jesus, living light for all, we pray.

+ Again we ask your blessings on St. Anne's continued study and discernment into "who is my neighbor."  May your Spirit rush in upon us, as it did King David.  May it fill us with your fire.  Jesus, living light for all, we pray.

+ For the grace to return to you in true contrition and confession of our sins.  Jesus, living light for all, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Betty Bertoldi; James Arthur; Frances Covey; Alice Rosenthal; Sister Joyce Cox; and Margaret Angelos.  Also, we pray for those who have died.  Jesus, living light for all, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Jesus, living light for all, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at
